Portrait of Sifu Carmine «Tony» Colarusso

He signs the book as Carmine (Tony) Colarusso.

About the Author

Carmine (Tony) Colarusso is an industrial engineer, entrepreneur, and teacher of the internal arts. He is a member of the Harvard Business School alumni community (OPM). He leads Ultra1Plus and Maxilub, manufacturers of petroleum-based products (lubricants) and water-based products (antifreeze and coolants) in the United States.

His learning with Wong Kiew Kit, Dr. Li, and Clarissa Pinkola Estés is part of an inner search accompanied by Christian faith, discipline, and daily practice. He has taught courses and workshops in Venezuela, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Italy, Spain, and the United States, with more than three thousand participants. Their questions and experiences, especially those of the Voces del Silencio group, have helped widen the map he shares in these pages.

Quietud Sagrada is also born of his life as a son, a husband and a father: of the bonds that held him up, of his losses, and of what has been hard for him to understand. Through thirteen doors, the book follows a question that remains open for its author: how to carry what he has lived in prayer, silence and the internal arts into caring for his family, into his work, and into the decisions of each day.
