Quietud Sagrada · Thirteen Doors to Return Home: «Ricordati di tornare a casa»

Remember to come back Home.

A book by Sifu Carmine «Tony» Colarusso. Each of its thirteen doors continues here, with its practice and its gesture for the day; most, also with their questions.

Double wooden door in a white marble portal with two columns; open, it gives onto the sea at sunset, with the sun on the horizon and two angels among the clouds

«When the world falls silent, the soul remembers».

Touch the door to open it.

«For me, stillness is precision with tenderness: the instant when we stop defending ourselves against life and can at last listen to it».
Author’s note

The book

Through thirteen doors, the book follows a question that remains open for its author: how to carry what he has lived in prayer, silence and the internal arts into caring for his family, into his work, and into the decisions of each day.

Without Order

Where do I enter today?

Choose what you are living. Each situation leads to a door.

Door X · Of the Love That Keeps Vigil

«What boundary do you need to set in order to care for those you love?».

I have a minute

Ascolto

The gesture of Door XIII, as it stands in the book.

Posture
Standing, at the door of your home, before going out. No phone in your hand.
Intention
To listen before I move.
Gesture
Look at the sky. Feel the wind on your face. Watch the birds, if there are any. Seek nothing.
Breath
Whatever comes. Do not correct it.
Attention
What the day says before you speak. One minute is enough; two, better.
Closing
Say inwardly: “Ascolto.” And go out.

Deja el teléfono a un lado. La página cuenta el minuto; tú escucha. Una campana suave te avisa al final.
